Archive status: This page is retained as a historical record of the Atherton & Westhoughton Pool League. A current official league website or results service could not be verified during the September 2026 review.
Atherton & Westhoughton Pool League
LancashirePool’s original page displayed a LeagueRepublic championship table for the Atherton & Westhoughton Pool League. That third-party table is now obsolete, so it has been removed rather than leaving a permanently broken or misleading embed.
The league’s existence is also referenced in public historical records. Evidence submitted during the 2016 parliamentary boundary review specifically mentioned an Atherton and Westhoughton Pool League when describing the close community links between the two towns.
Why preserve the page?
Local leagues are part of the history of eight-ball pool across Lancashire and the wider North West. Even when league structures, names or websites change, preserving a clean historical record helps document how players, pubs and clubs were connected to organised competition.
