England Ladies sent two teams to the 2016 Nations Cup, with England A completing an unbeaten run and winning the final.
England Ladies A
The A team consisted of Barbara Taylor, Sophie Gibbs-Nicholls, Sharon Lunn, Sharon James and Tanisha Beckford.
England A went through the event without losing a match and defeated Northern Ireland 8-5 in the final to take the title.
England Ladies B
The B team was Kate Wringe, Lisa Wray, Cat Jones, Nikki Comrie and Leanne Cragg. Only one member of the team had previously played in a Nations Cup, making the competition a new international experience for most of the side.
After two narrow 7-8 defeats, England B responded with victories against Scotland and Northern Ireland. The original manager’s report highlighted the team’s strong spirit throughout the event.
