Sharon James won the 2016 Ladies Premier League after a highly consistent season against a field containing national and world champions.
James won 14 of her 15 matches, with her only defeat coming 5–3 against 2015 World Champion Amy Beauchamp at the third tour. At the final event she secured the title with wins over Jodie Lockett 5–4, Dawn Wright 5–2 and Kate Hillman 5–1.
The victory added to James's earlier National Singles title from 2012 and followed final appearances in the 2015 Champion of Champions and National Singles. Lyndsey Roberts finished second in the 2016 Premier League.
