Hyndburn Hotshots and Lancaster are the two Lancashire teams through to Sunday’s last 32 at the 2026 EPA National Interleague Knockout Cup. Both play at 9am on Sunday 27 September: Hotshots face Croydon B, while Lancaster meet Rugby Dishers And Drinkers.
Four Lancashire teams began the competition, with Clitheroe Rhinos reaching the last 64 and Bowerham Jolly Boys bowing out in the group stage.
Hyndburn Hotshots secure their Sunday place
Hyndburn Hotshots progressed from Group 11 after two 9–9 draws, against Norfolk N Chancers on Friday and Mid Sussex Ix on Saturday. They then beat St Ives A 10–8 in the last 64 to earn a Sunday meeting with Croydon B.
Lancaster advance after London City contest
Lancaster recorded an emphatic 14–4 victory over South Norfolk before a 9–6 result against Croydon Mavericks completed their Group 10 programme. A closely fought last-64 encounter with London City finished 11–9 to Lancaster, securing their place against Rugby Dishers And Drinkers.
Clitheroe Rhinos reach the last 64
Clitheroe Rhinos advanced from a remarkably tight Group 7, where all three matches finished 9–9. The Rhinos drew with both S.L.K.P.A. 2 and North East Norfolk A, before their run ended with a 4–10 defeat to Medway A in the last 64.
Bowerham Jolly Boys’ group-stage campaign
Bowerham Jolly Boys finished their campaign in Group 13. A 5–13 defeat to Stow A on Friday was followed by a 3–9 result against Croydon B on Saturday.
