Craig Waddingham won the opening UK Pool Tour event of 2014, beating Gavin Lomax 8–7 in the final from a field of 180 players.
The tournament also featured strong runs from Phil Harrison, Shane Balding and Steve Martin. Martin defeated 2012 World Champion John Roe on his way to the semi-finals before losing 8–6 to Lomax.
Waddingham reached the final after wins over Glyn Crook, Myles Deleuse, Shaun Chipperfield, Luke Bowry, Ben Flack and Shane Balding. The final produced his closest match of the event, with Waddingham edging Lomax 8–7 to collect the trophy and £2,400 winner's cheque.
