Our new venue for 2023 – Q8 Sports Bar & Grill
We are proud to announce that Q8 Sports Bar & Grill in Wigan is the chosen venue for the Lancashire County Pool Association for the next 3 years. Our host, Carly DeFreitas has created the perfect environment for County Pool and the associated events that we intend to run.
We’re looking forward to a competitive season on all fronts – Men’s A & B teams, Seniors team, Ladies’ A & B teams, U23’s & Junior teams. We’ll soon be holding team trials for all sections and hopefully, we’ll attract a lot of interest. Dates will be announced very shortly.
The new playing rules for 2023
International Rules, the exciting ruleset as seen on TV and the ruleset used by Ultimate Pool Group, are the new ruleset of playing rules adopted by the English Pool Association at the Inter-league level upwards.
For many years World Rules have been the standard of the EPA and more recently subject to much debate from players that dislike them. So it’s the dawn of a new era and challenge and your chance to get involved. World Rules are no more at these levels and many local leagues, whilst not a requirement, are also making the progressive change to adopt International Rules.
