Lancashire youth player Aaron Cooper was selected for the England youth team for the 2014 European Championships in Malta.
The selection, announced in October 2013, continued what LancashirePool described at the time as an excellent year for the Lancashire Youth team player.
From Lancashire youth pool to England
Earning an England place is a significant step for any junior player. Aaron’s selection showed how county youth competition could provide a platform for talented Lancashire players to progress into international representative pool.
Lancashire County Pool congratulated Aaron on the achievement and wished him well for the European Championships in Malta.
Part of a wider Lancashire junior pathway
Aaron’s achievement belongs to a broader record of Lancashire juniors reaching England trials and national teams. In later years, other Lancashire youth players also progressed through the same county-to-national pathway.
