LancashirePool preserves this tribute to Ivor Edwards, the long-serving English Pool Association National Secretary who died on 23 June 2017.
Years of service to English pool
Ivor spent many years serving pool players across England and in his home county of Shropshire. He was remembered for wanting to modernise and develop the game and for the time he gave to the sport without seeking recognition for himself.
The original EPA tribute described his contribution as immense and remembered the intelligence and integrity with which he represented the association.
Remembering Ivor Edwards
His loss was felt across both the EPA and the Shropshire pool community, and his service remains part of the administrative history of English eight-ball pool.
More tributes to players, officials and administrators are preserved in the Lancashire Pool In Memoriam archive.
