In 2017 the English Pool Association introduced County Singles Championships across five playing categories. The competition created a route from county qualification into category-specific national finals.
Five championship categories
- Men’s/Open
- Ladies
- Seniors
- Under 23s
- Juniors
The events were open to players from pool leagues affiliated to EPA counties. Each county could enter up to two players in each category, with additional names available to fill spare places where appropriate.

- Under 23s – 5–6 August, Club 147, Leicester
- Men’s/Open – 19–20 August, Players Lounge, Newcastle-under-Lyme
- Ladies – 26–27 August, The Court, Peterborough
- Juniors – 26–27 August, Lennons, Chesterfield
- Seniors – 3 September, Savanna Pool & Snooker, Whitefield
