England take an early 1–0 series lead
England opened the series with a 13–12 victory on the day of arrival to take the early advantage.
Australia responded by winning the next two Tests. The second finished 14–11, while the third reached 12–12 before Australia won the deciding frame to move 2–1 ahead.
England force a deciding fifth Test
With the series on the line, England produced their strongest result of the trip in the fourth Test, winning 16–9 and levelling the series at 2–2.
The fifth Test was another tight match. Australia moved 12–9 ahead before England fought back to 12–12, but the hosts won the deciding frame 13–12 to take the series 3–2.

England did leave with individual success: Sharon James defeated Kolbe Poole 7–6 in the International Singles final.
