The second event of the mini-series has taken place for the North West and it was dominated by Rochdale players as they made up 3 of the 4 semi-finalists. Matt Brierley defeated Kevin Holland in the semi-finals, with Jack Mann defeating Lancashire County A team player Gaz Royds. It was Matt Brierley that ended up taking home the £500 first prize, beating Jack Mann 6-3 in the final. Matt had the toughest of starts facing England Captain Lee Kendal in the first round, who he despatched with a comfortable 6-1 win. Littleborough’s Matt Evans gave him the only scare of the day in the last 16 with a hard fought deciding frame victory.
