Historical event-hosting record: in late 2021 the English Pool Association announced a partnership with Pontins for its 2022 national events programme and England team sponsorship.
Pontins announced as host for 2022 EPA national events
The announcement said EPA national competitions would move across several Pontins locations during 2022 rather than use a single venue.
The Inter-County Finals were moved to May because the 48 new pool tables required for the events were not expected to be available for the earlier February date.
EPA national event dates announced for 2022
- Inter-League Finals: 31 March–3 April 2022 — Southport, Merseyside
- Inter-County Finals: 5–8 May 2022 — Pakefield, Suffolk
- Inter-League KO Cup: 6–9 October 2022 — Brean Sands, Somerset
- Champion of Champions: 10–13 November 2022 — Prestatyn, Denbighshire
A historical partnership record
The original announcement also described Pontins as an England team sponsor and presented the agreement as a new national-events chapter for the EPA.
