The second tour of the 2014 season was played out in new surroundings at the Hilton Metropole but it was a familiar name that took home the title. Phil Harrison showed just why he has a feared reputation with a fantastic performance, dropping only 4 frames in his first 4 matches. He then dispatched of tour 1 semi-finalist Steve Martin in an attacking display from both players with very little missed. Harrison then showed his class by beating both of the tour 1 finalists 8-5 in successive games in the semis and final to pick up his first tour title of 2014. Gavin Lomax followed up his tour 1 final with a repeat effort at tour 2 and looks a firm favourite to pick up a title before the year is out.
