Three great eightball pool events will take place over a 14 day period in June 2018 and all events will be open to members of the English Pool Association and the affiliated countries of the World Eightball Pool Federation.
UK Pool Tour 3
First off the mark will be tour 3 of the UK Pool Tour. This will have a £20,000 prize fund over the four events during the weekend of Friday 15th to Sunday 17th June. The venue will be the fabulous Hilton Metropole at the NEC Birmingham. Entry details for non-tour players can be found by emailing gharwood.pool@gmail.com or using the Join Us link. All players at the World Pool Championships in Blackpool are welcome to compete in event 3 of the UKPT.
World Eightball Pool Championships
Played at the Imperial Hotel, Blackpool, the Worlds commence on Wednesday 20th June and finish on Friday 29th June. Here there are categories for Men, Ladies, U23, Juniors, Seniors and Wheelchair players. Individuals and team events will be held with players competing for World titles in 11 championships with a £27,000 prize fund.
This year there will be a change in the format of the championships which will reduce the accommodation required by up to 3 days for most players. We will commence with the Men's individual championship on Wednesday 20th and continue during Thursday 21st with the last 4 going into the finals stages in the following weeks programme.
The opening ceremony with be at 5pm on Sunday 24th followed by the team events, finalising on finals day and presentation on Friday 29th.
Players in the UK will have an opportunity to compete in the Worlds from several qualifiers that will be held during April/May. Details to follow shortly.
World Eightball Masters
Also played at the Imperial Hotel, Blackpool, this event will commence on Friday 22nd until Sunday 24th June. This allows those in the Worlds the opportunity to compete on the Wednesday/Thursday and then play in the Masters on the Friday.
The Senior Masters will be on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th whilst the Ladies Masters will be played on Sunday 24th.
The prize fund over the 3 events will be £23,000.
Members of each national federation of the WEPF are welcome to enter the World Masters, plus all UK Tour members and World Championship qualifiers. Details can be obtained from your national organisers or from gharwood.pool@gmail.com.
