£20,000 in prizes will be paid out at the ‘Festival of Pool’ over the Easter weekend, Friday 30th to Sunday 1st April 2018. The main tour event will commence at 1 p.m. on the Friday.
In addition to the UK Pool tour events of Main Tour, Challenge plus Men’s and Ladies Premier League, there will be a qualifier for the World Eightball Pool championships, where 16 players will go forward to the World Finals which are to be held at the Imperial Hotel, Blackpool from 20th June 2018.
FESTIVAL OF POOL ENTRANTS
We changed the format for last year’s event to allow all Festival players into the Tour individual event with £9,800 prize monies plus Challenge event which has £ 4,800 prize monies, both events are paid down to the last 32.
Festival players will also receive entry to the World Championship Qualifier which is the gateway into the Worlds Final and £20,000 prize fund. There will be 16 players going forward from the Tour Two qualifier with entry paid and for the top 8 players a further bonus of accommodation for 3 nights.
ENTRY TO THE UK TOUR
As an extra bonus anyone entering the Festival will be given preference for additional places we are introducing on UK Tour 3,4 and 5, plus they will be guaranteed first choice for entry into the 2018 UK Tour.
Festival entry fee is £180, which gets you into the Strachan Individual, plus the Supreme Challenge. Entry fee also includes 2 nights’ accommodation (Bed & Breakfast/sharing twin-room) at the Four-Star Mercure Daventry Hotel on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st March.
There is restricted entry with a closing date of 12th March 2018.
