KC’s Announced as New Home of Lancashire County Pool — and International Rules in Lancashire

KC Pool & Sports Bar

Lancashire County Pool Association (LCPA) is pleased to announce that KC’s Pool and Sports Bar has been appointed as our new home venue for the 2026–2028 hosting period.

This decision follows a formal tender process and marks a significant step forward for county pool in Lancashire — providing a consistent base for our county match programme, trials, Inter-League events, and committee dates throughout the season.

A New Home for County Pool

From January 2026, KC’s will become the central hub for LCPA home fixtures, bringing our Open, Ladies, Seniors and youth sections together under one roof for county matchdays and key dates in the calendar. The venue offers the space, facilities and matchday environment needed to support the scale and standard of county pool — for players, officials and supporters alike.

We’d like to place on record our thanks to all venues who submitted proposals and engaged with the process. The standard of interest shown reflects the strength of county pool in Lancashire and the value of hosting LCPA events.

The New Home of International Rules in Lancashire

As well as becoming the official LCPA home venue, KC’s will now be recognised as the new home of International Rules pool in Lancashire.

International Rules remains the benchmark code for county competition, demanding not only high-quality tables and equipment, but also the right playing conditions and matchday setup to ensure fairness, consistency and professionalism across all sections. Establishing a dedicated home venue is a major step in supporting that standard — and in helping more Lancashire players experience International Rules in the right environment.

What This Means for Players and Supporters

With KC’s as our base, LCPA will be able to deliver:

  • A consistent and reliable matchday experience across the season
  • A venue structure that supports county trials and key qualifiers
  • The right platform to grow county participation across all sections
  • A welcoming environment for supporters, officials, and visiting counties

We’ll be sharing further information shortly regarding fixture dates, arrival guidance, matchday operations, and any venue-specific notes for players and delegates.

Thank You to Sandygate

The Lancashire County Pool Association would also like to place on record its sincere thanks to Sandygate Sports Bar for their support over the past six months. Their willingness to host county fixtures during this period was greatly appreciated and played an important role in ensuring continuity for our players and officials. We are grateful for their cooperation, flexibility, and commitment to county pool in Lancashire.

Thank You

We’d like to thank everyone involved in moving county pool forward — from committee members and section managers to referees, delegates and, most importantly, the players who represent Lancashire with pride.

We look forward to welcoming everyone to KC’s and beginning this exciting new chapter together.
