2018 LCPA Membership and Registrations

As per our previous post, the Lancashire County Pool Association AGM is taking place on 14th January 2018 12noon at Hendry’s, Preston.

As part of the AGM, we are inviting leagues within Lancashire to attend and become members of the Association, along with membership to the English Pool Association. As part of this, your leagues will also be able to submit entries for the 2018 Lancashire Interleague competitions for both Men and Ladies. Read the rest of this entry →

Referee Seminar and Exam

Tony Kay will be running a Referees seminar on Saturday 11th March 12:00 start at Punch Hotel, Chapels, Darwen. BB3 0EE 

Participants can choose to do either the E Grade examination, which is multiple choice, or the higher D Grade exam which is a full written and practical exam. Exams will be either on the day or on the following Saturday. 

Cost of the seminar is £15 for E grade and £20 for D grade. 

Please let either Tony Kay or Martin West know if interested and which grade. 

EPA members reminder regarding Black Ball trials

Just so that you are all aware a Black Ball County team representing Central Lancashire has announced that they will be holding trials. I have been advised that should any of you decide to trial that this will be deemed to be in direct competition with the EPA and your registration will be suspended.

Aramith Pro Cup

Following the region 2 meeting it has been accepted that it will be in use for our home county matches.
